Selena Carpenter, MEd
Senior Program Manager, Office of Health Equity, Vanderbilt University Medical Center

Selena McCoy Carpenter, MEd is a Senior Program Manager for the Office of Health Equity and the Wilkins Health Equity and Engagement Lab (WHEEL). Her work for the Office of Health Equity is to support and coordinate OHE's involvement in the Racial Equity Plan. She also works closely with OHE colleagues to implement antiracism education efforts across VUMC and VU School of Medicine.

In the Wilkins Lab, Selena coordinates participant partner engagement in the governance structure of the All of Us Research Program, the largest precision medicine research initiative in the country. She is also on the Evaluation Team of the Southwest Collaborative for the Innovative and Equitable Solutions to Chronic Disease Disparities. 

Prior to her work at VUMC, Selena worked for a nongovernmental organization in Kenya and Haiti, where she led program monitoring and evaluation efforts, specifically in maternal and child health projects. She loves to bake, spend time with her family and dog, and jumps on any opportunity to be in the woods.
