About the Speaker

Katherine Mills, Ph.D., MSPH, FAHA earned her Ph.D. in epidemiology from Tulane University. Before returning to Tulane, she completed a postdoctoral fellowship in cardiovascular disease epidemiology at Johns Hopkins University. Her research interests include cardiovascular and renal disease epidemiology, implementation science, and health disparities related to the burden and treatment of cardiovascular and renal diseases. She has experience conducting cluster-randomized trials to implement guidelines for cardiovascular risk factor treatment and control in diverse settings, including primary care settings in Argentina, Colombia, and Jamaica, as well as WIC and FQHC clinics in the U.S. Mills has published more than 70 peerreviewed articles, including first-author papers in JAMA, Circulation, Annals of Internal Medicine, and Nature Reviews Nephrology
